About
Hera Güneş Barlowe is a Turkish actress, and artist born and raised in İstanbul, based in New York City.
Raised in a family of film directors, she was exposed to a diverse range of artistic and athletic pursuits, including painting, singing, dancing, kickboxing, horseback riding, and many others.
Hera's passion for acting has always stood out the most, as she strives to give a voice to those whose stories remain untold. From a young age of 6, Hera has felt a strong intuition to advocate against injustices affecting people, animals, and the environment, by spreading awareness on endangered animals beginning at her kindergarten.
Hera just wrapped the short film Inside as the lead, the project is now in post, headed for festivals. She is currently the lead and involved in the creative process of Stain, an original play premiering this September.
As a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan, she is trained in various techniques, such as Stanislavsky, Meisner, Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, Alexander Technique, and Laban Movement Efforts. Hera has also trained at Stella Adler's Studio of Acting, Identity School of Acting, and Dialog Anlatim Iletisim.
Hera is Equity eligible, and soon to be SAG-AFTRA eligible soon, and will be joining both very shortly.
In her free time, she loves to travel and learn about new cultures, paint, sing, and watch Friends for the 100th time.
